Telescoping Clamp

This telescoping connector allows you to sleeve 1/2" EMT conduit into 3/4" EMT conduit. The lower set screw secures the clamp around the 3/4" pipe, and the upper handle allows you to easily loosen to adjust the height of the inserted 1/2" pipe. These clamps are made of a high quality plastic rather than steel. They are perfect for lightweight projects that need adjustable pipes!

NOT THAT GREAT

I am trying to make an awning for my camper. This involves 2 adjustable length horizontals from the roof and 2 verticals with a 3/4" conduit at the front running horizontally.
A simple design.
I used 3/4 with a 1/2 insert with these clamps to allow adjustability in both distance from the camper and height.
Sounds straightforward right? WRONG.
You cannot tighten the clamp onto the 3/4 to stop it being able to be pulled off the end. You also cannot pin it with a screw because if you do the slide action is lost. Short of a tube of super glue it is impossible to get these to stay put. Plus they are highly overpriced. It is a bit of molded plastic. Worth about $5 tops instead of the outrageous $10.

Cantilever canopy

I was looking for a way to connect a cable or rope to the end of a pipe and with the threaded insert you solved my problem...Thanks
I'm looking to do a cantilever shade shade structure over my car. I needed a way to attach a cable or rope to the end of the over hang then up to the opposite pipe at the high point of a vertical pipe then run the cable down to the ground where it would be connected to 9" Screw Spiral Tent Peg Stakes into the ground. This creates a triangle connection for the apex of the build to the ground to support the cantilever. I'm using 3/4" pipe with all the connectors needed to make this build. I'll be able to build this using only four 10' lengths of pipe cut to size. I already have the have the cover from another project so the total cost including your connectors, will be under $50.00. Now the work begins....

Very handy!

This is for my very simple first build which is just a stand alone telescoping pole to hold some plastic sheeting up for some household projects. This device is perfect for my design and very well manufactured. I ordered a few extra for future projects.
