Description

The 180 degree metal pipe connector includes two identical pieces that clamp together with two nuts and bolts. The clamp design allows you to quickly change a connection while building or remove and reuse the connectors in a future project. The pieces are designed with a pocket feature that locks the nut in place when tightening, this makes for an easy one tool assembly no matter which side the nut is on. Every connector comes with a pre applied friction band that makes connections even more secure. Order some 180 degree connections and add strength to your DIY pipe builds!

HOPELESSLY SLOPPY

I used one of these in a simple awning. A project that failed miserably due to the maker pipe components. I wanted to use a 3/4 conduit at the front of the awning. Not only were the corners useless but this connector was a waste of money. The conduit is 10' long so I wanted to cut it into 2 x 5' lengths so I can transport it easily.
Just bolt it together right? Then for extra points a 3rd vertical pole.
Let's just say it was as sloppy as it could be. So sloppy it is unusable. Well not without drilling additional holes and using self tappers or bolts. The idea was to get away from that. I could have done that with cheap stuff from a big box store!!
I gave up. Everything I bought is now on the back seat of my truck until I think of another way to do this.
