The fastest way to build and iterate without a welder

We found Maker Pipe through a NYCCNC/Saunders Machine Works lean manufacturing video years ago and have been coming back ever since. We use their connector system to build workstations and assembly fixtures for our production floor, and the difference compared to welded solutions is hard to overstate.

The biggest win is accessibility — anyone on our team can build or modify a fixture without needing a welder or machinist involved, and they can do it faster. That flexibility pays off constantly, because there is always something in a design that needs to change once it's actually in use. Recently we needed to add a handle and an extendable material support section to a rolling cart. With Maker Pipe it was a clamp and some conduit — no redesign, no complicated fab work, just done.

If you're building custom production solutions and you haven't tried these, you're making it harder than it needs to be.

Backyard Hockey Puck Shooting Cage

Maker Pipe fittings are very versatile, strong, and well built. Loved the way your fittings are so easy to assemble. A lot of thought obviously went into the development of the product. I built this hockey puck shooting cage for my grandson in his backyard, in southern California. Originally was built out of 1" sch 40 PVC. It got destroyed in no time. Found Maker Pipe on the internet. They looked like a viable solution. Very happy with the results. Thank you Maker Pipe for creating such a great product.

Great fittings for building garden projects

I got these connectors to build some cages for my garden raised beds and the connectors are great. They are solid and when tightened, hold all 3 EMT conduits well with no slippage

Make stuff the way you want

With maker pipe you can build things to solve particular problems or to perform particular functions. You can keep on building until you are satisfied. When you are finished, you can make adjustments and add or remove parts to make something completely different. Working with wood is really different. It is a big deal to make a minor adjustments with it.

This project is a cart for an air fryer toaster oven. In the instructions they say not to put it directly under a cabinet because they get really hot. I reused a table top from Ikea. I used the measurements on the description of the item to figure out the size of the top. I didn't calculate correctly to use the connectors I selected to mount the top. I was able to take these parts off and used 90 degree connectors and EMT 3/4 inch hangers to mount the top. I need space to put pans on the way in and out of the oven. I'm going to add a little drawer with a piece of plywood on its top that will pull out for a place to work on. I will mount drawer slides on 2x4s and hang them with 3/4 inch hangers to the cart. The T's in the third picture are there temporarily while I mount the drawer.
