The threaded pipe inserts are great if you don't plan on moving your object too much. But if you need to move your object a distance or over unpaved surfaces, DO NOT BUY THESE INSERTS! I bought these inserts so I could screw wheels into 3/4 inch pipe for the prop i built for my high school marching band. I could see right away that there was going to be too much play in the wheel upon inserting it, so I used two pipe inserts for each wheel. This did make the wheels more sturdy. However, when we went to other schools to perform in our competitions, we needed to roll the prop across school campuses, over grassy areas and on to the football fields for our shows. Needless to say, the wheels started falling out one by one. I had to drill braces into the EMT pipes to fasten my wheels to. These inserts would have been great for objects that don't move often or far. But if you need to move objects over distances, like me, or anything with a little bit of weight to it, don't use these pipe inserts.
