3/4" To 1/2" EMT Conduit Standard Adapter Shim

This inexpensive adapter shim allows you to use our 3/4" EMT connectors on 1/2" EMT conduit (0.7" outside diameter).  The shim can be placed anywhere on EMT Conduit to provide a secure fit.  One shim is needed for every pipe you have to connect.  Use two stacked shims to adapt the connectors to 1/2" diameter pipe.  *T Connector shown as an example only, shims sold individually.

Great little helper.

3/4" connecters are cheaper than 1/2". 1/2" conduit is cheaper than 3/4" conduit. The shims allow you to build with 1/2" conduit or a combination of 1/2" and 3/4" at a lower cost. Great to have spares on hand for that quick project that can be built from left over parts/materials.

Super useful for what it is intended to do.

Adapter to convert 1/2 to 3/4 conduit

I had leftover 1/2" EMT CONDUIT and used these Adapter Shims in my tomato frame build. They are a tight fit, but I like that they will stay on the pipe. I used a very large screwdriver as a wedge to open up the shims just enough to slide it on the conduit. I had help. It worked so well, I think I'll stay with 1/2 in conduit in the future. I may cut a wooden shim so this can be done by one person. FYI, I'm a senior, so my hands aren't as strong as they used to be. Others may find it super easy.
