This is way harder than these video would lead you to believe.

I built a garden shade structure. The connectors do not seal evenly without great effort. My order came with black clips. I couldn’t figure out what they were for. They weren’t for holding the shade cloth. Those are different. It turns out they were spacers for the connectors to help tighten the pipe in the connector. I didn’t see any instructions that these clips would be needed or how to use them. For all I know I did it all wrong!

You really have to have either two people or a way to secure to another stable structure to get it going, while building. I am 60 year old lady. I don’t have the strength I once did. I understand I have to compensate with hacks, at times. The only way I could get the connectors to firmly seal the pipe was to use u-clams. . Everywhere. Then I could tighten the screw without the pipe falling out of the connector.

This process was tedious and time consuming. Also, the cost was a bit up there. I spent 175 on the connectors and 130 on the conduit pipe. I spent another $30-40 on shade cloth. This does not include the cement and the bricks to keep it from flying off.

Now, given the brutal reality of difficulty ( especially for longer length pipe) and cost, these connectors are unique to this site. I think it’s the only game in town. The conduit can solve your need for unique structural solutions in a rugged.

I WILL use again. Wiser.

The video shows structure still in process. More 45 degree connector will be added.

I built a cleaning cart that can hold a steam cleaner and with the emt conduit I can put a container for supplies and to wrap the power and hose for easy moment around the house.

Dont buy 1/2 inch connectors

The adaptor shims that come with 3/4 inch connectors slide every so often, no matter how tight you screw them and makes the whole structure fall apart. I regret this purchase so much. Half of my connectors are lying unopened and wasted.

Hi there, I am sorry to hear that the connectors gave you trouble in your application. We'd be happy to take back the parts and refund the order or offer some assistance with your project if you'd like. Shoot me an email at jake@makerpipe.com if so.
